Derslerde öğrendiğin kuralların hepsi burada. Takıldığında dönüp bakabilirsin.
| Konu | Kural | Örnek |
|---|---|---|
| Yapı | said (that) + cümle | “I'm tired.” → Ali said (that) he was tired. |
| say / tell | said (kişisiz) · told + kişi | She said she was busy. / She told me she was busy. |
| Geniş / şimdiki | am, is → was · work → worked · am working → was working | “I work here.” → He said he worked there. |
| Geçmiş / perfect | saw, have seen → had seen | “I've lost it.” → She said she had lost it. |
| Modallar | will → would · can → could · must → had to · may → might | “I'll call.” → He said he would call. |
| Zamirler | I → he / she · my → his / her · we → they | “My car…” → Ece said her car… |
| Zaman / yer | today → that day · tomorrow → the next day · yesterday → the day before · here → there · now → then | He said he was leaving the next day. |
Birinin sözünü aktarırken Türkçede -dığını söyledi ya da -mış kullanırız: Ali yorgun olduğunu söyledi. / Ali yorgunmuş. İngilizcede said (that) + cümle kullanılır: Ali said (that) he was tired.
Aktarma fiili geçmişte olduğu için (said), aktarılan cümlenin zamanı da bir adım geriye kayar: am / is → was, are → were, like → liked, don't know → didn't know.
Zamirler de konuşana göre değişir: Ali: “I am tired.” → Ali said he was tired. Türklerin sık hatası “Ali said I was tired” demektir — bu, “Ali benim yorgun olduğumu söyledi” anlamına gelir!
that atılabilir: Ali said that he was tired = Ali said he was tired.
Ali said that he was tired.
Ali yorgun olduğunu söyledi.
Zeynep said she loved the film.
Zeynep filmi çok sevdiğini söyledi.
Tom said he didn't feel well.
Tom kendini iyi hissetmediğini söyledi.
Türkçede zaman kaymaz (“yorgun olduğunu söyledi”), İngilizcede kayar: “I am tired” → he was tired.
İkisi de Türkçede söylemek demek ama kullanımları farklı. tell'den sonra kime söylendiği gelmek zorundadır: She told me (that) she was busy. He told us the news.
say'den sonra kişi gelmez: She said (that) she was busy. Kişiyi söylemek istersen to eklersin: She said to me that she was busy.
Türklerin en sık hatası “bana söyledi”yi kelime kelime çevirip said me demektir: “He said me” ✗ → He told me ✓ / He said to me ✓.
She told me that she was busy.
Bana meşgul olduğunu söyledi.
He said that he was late.
Geç kaldığını söyledi.
Ali told us he was moving to Ankara.
Ali bize Ankara'ya taşınacağını söyledi.
Akılda tutma yolu: tell someone, say something. said me ✗, told that ✗ (kişi yoksa).
Aktarırken her zaman bir adım geriye gider: Present Continuous → Past Continuous: “I'm watching TV.” → He said he was watching TV.
Present Perfect → Past Perfect: “I have finished.” → She said she had finished.
Past Simple → Past Perfect: “I lost my keys.” → She said she had lost her keys. (Günlük konuşmada Past Simple aynen kalabilir: she said she lost her keys.)
Türkçede “izlediğini söyledi” hem “izliyordu” hem “izlemişti” olabilir; İngilizcede doğru zamanı seçmek için orijinal cümleye bak.
He said he was watching TV.
Televizyon izlediğini söyledi.
She said she had finished her homework.
Ödevini bitirdiğini söyledi.
Our friends said they had missed the bus.
Arkadaşlarımız otobüsü kaçırdıklarını söyledi.
Past Perfect = had + V3. A2'de öğrendiğin V3'ler burada da işe yarıyor: seen, done, lost, gone.
Modal fiiller de bir adım geriye kayar: will → would, can → could, may → might, must → had to.
“I will call you.” → He said he would call me. (Arayacağını söyledi.) “I can swim.” → She said she could swim.
Olumsuzlar da aynı şekilde: won't → wouldn't, can't → couldn't. Türkçedeki -acağını genellikle would, -abildiğini ise could ile aktarılır.
would, could, should, might zaten geçmiş biçimdir; bunlar değişmez.
He said he would call me.
Beni arayacağını söyledi.
Lisa said she couldn't come.
Lisa gelemeyeceğini söyledi.
The teacher said we had to be quiet.
Öğretmen sessiz olmamız gerektiğini söyledi.
Modaldan sonra fiil hep yalın kalır: would come, could swim (would came ✗, could to swim ✗).
Sözü başka bir zamanda ya da başka bir yerde aktarıyorsan zaman ve yer ifadeleri de değişir: today → that day, tomorrow → the next day, yesterday → the day before, now → then, here → there, this → that.
Ali (geçen ay): “I'm leaving tomorrow.” → Ali said he was leaving the next day. Geçen ayın “yarın”ı bugün değil!
İyelikler de konuşana göre değişir: Ece: “I love my job.” → Ece said she loved her job. Türkçede “işini sevdiğini söyledi” deriz; İngilizcede her demeyi unutma.
Ali said he was leaving the next day.
Ali ertesi gün gideceğini söyledi.
She said she had seen him the day before.
Onu bir gün önce gördüğünü söyledi.
Ece said she loved her job.
said (that) + cümle; kişi varsa told me. Zaman bir adım geriye: is → was, is doing → was doing, did / has done → had done, will → would, can → could.
Zamirleri, zaman ve yer ifadelerini konuşana ve zamana göre değiştir: I → he / she, tomorrow → the next day, here → there.

Annem bana geç kalacağını söyledi.
Deniz said she had lost her phone.
Deniz telefonunu kaybettiğini söyledi.
